Cranberry Liqueur Recipes

Nalivkas (Fruit Liqueurs)

 
 
Cranberry Liqueur 1
Ingredients:

1 lb. fresh cranberries
Sliced and scraped peel of 1/4 orange and 1/2 lemon
1 1/2 cups sugar syrup
1 1/2 cups vodka
Instructions:
Wash cranberries and coarsely chop in blender or food processor. Add all ingredients to alcohol. Steep 4 weeks. Strain and filter. If more sweetener is required, add more sugar syrup to taste and mature another week.
Cranberry Liqueur 2
Ingredients:

2 cups sugar
1 cup water
1 (12-ounce) package fresh cranberries
3 cups vodka
Instructions:
Combine sugar and water in a medium saucepan; cook over medium heat 5 minutes or until sugar dissolves, stirring constantly. Remove from heat, and cool completely. Place cranberries in a food processor; process 2 minutes or until finely chopped. Combine sugar mixture and cranberries in a large bowl; stir in vodka. Pour the vodka mixture into clean jars; secure with lids. Let stand 3 weeks in a cool, dark place, shaking every other day. Strain the cranberry mixture through a cheesecloth-lined sieve into a bowl, and discard solids. Carefully pour liqueur into clean bottles or jars.
Cranberry Liqueur 3
Ingredients:

12 oz bag cranberries, washed
2 cups sugar
1 cup water
1-1/2 cups 100-proof vodka
2 teaspoons grapefruit zest
Instructions:
Coarsely chop cranberries in food processor or blender and transfer to 2 quart jar. Add sugar, stir, and let stand for 1 hour. Add water, vodka, and grapefruit zest. Cover tightly and let stand in a cool, dark place for one month. Shake 2 or 3 times per week to prevent the fruit from clumping. Strain through a coarse sieve or colander. Discard solids. Strain again through a fine-mesh strainer. Transfer into a clean container and let stand for a week. Decant or filter into final container. Cover and age for at least a month.
Cranberry Liqueur 4
Ingredients:

1 c White wine or water
1 c Sugar
12 oz Cranberries
6 Whole allspice
1 Cinnamon stick
1 Lime, quartered and seeded
1 Knob fresh ginger, 1 inch
2 c 80-proof gin
Instructions:
Heat wine or water with sugar until dissolved and boiling. Place cranberries, spices, lime and ginger in the bowl of a blender or food processor. Add boiling syrup and process for 30 to 40 seconds. Pour into a container with a tight-fitting lid. Add the gin, cover and set aside for 1 or 2 weeks. Strain through a fine sieve.
Cranberry Liqueur 5
Ingredients:

One pound fresh cranberries
Sliced and scraped peel of 1/4 orange
Sliced and scraped peel of 1/2 lemon
1 1/2 cups sugar syrup
1 1/2 cups vodka
Instructions:
Wash cranberries and coarsely chop in blender or food processor. Add all the ingredients to the alcohol. Steep 4 weeks. Strain and filter. If more sweetener is required, add more sugar syrup to taste and mature another week.
Cranberry Liqueur 6
Ingredients:

1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk
2 cups vodka
1 can (16 ounces) jellied cranberry sauce
1 can (12 ounces) frozen cranberry-orange juice cocktail, thawed
1 cup half and half
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Instructions:
Combine vodka, sweetened condensed milk, cranberry sauce, cranberry-orange juice cocktail, half-and-half, and cinnamon. Place in a blender and blend (in batches) until smooth. Cover and chill overnight to allow flavors to blend. Store in an airtight container in refrigerator.
