Nastoykas (Tinctures)

 
   Raisin schnapps - based on fresh, plump raisins - is a sweet, aromatic schnapps with fine taste and flavours of grapes. The color is light to dark golden. Can be served with a variety of dishes, including curries, stews, chicken, pork, fish, shellfish, salads, oriental foods, desserts, cheese and cheese cakes.

Ingredients:

100 grams raisins
Unflavoured vodka - 40% alcohol content (80 proof)
Instructions:
Put 100 grams raisins into a clean glass jar with tight-fitting lid. Add 50 centiliter of clear, unflavoured vodka - 40% alcohol content (80 proof). Let steep for 1-2 weeks in a dark place at room temperature, 18-20C (64-68F). Shake lightly and taste it from time to time. Strain and filter your infusion into a clean glass bottle or jar with tight-fitting lid. Store (age) for at least 1 month in a dark place at room temperature before serving.
